July has completely flown by and I can’t believe it is August already?! I’ve had a pretty busy month, and if you are a regular reader or you follow me on Instagram, you will know I have been trying to balance blogging with, day trips, BBQs, nights out, concerts and busy days at work – no wonder this month has whizzed by! Anyway, today I’m sharing with you my July Must Haves.
Makeup Revolution’s Ultra Blush Palette in Golden Sugar
I have written a full review of the Ultra Blusher Palette which you can check out here. This has definitely made it to my July Must Haves because it is so versatile and perfect for summer. The bronze shades work so well with a tan and the lighter shades make for beautiful subtle highlighters. I really recommend you go and at least swatch this, but to be honest, for £6 it is a beauty bargain so you may as well give it a go!
Maybelline’s Lash Sensational Mascara
Lash Sensational is pretty much my holy grail product. I always end up tweeting about it in #bblogger chats. I am lucky to have pretty long eyelashes anyway, but when I wear this, it really lengthens and volumises them and they look even better than falsies. I’ve seen people describe Lash Sensational as a dupe for Benefit Roller Lash, personally I didn’t really rate it, this is soooo much better. Seriously try this now, you won’t regret it!
Q and A a Day
I won Q and A a Day in a blogger giveaway and I was pretty much swooning the moment I ripped it out of the packaging. The front cover is simple and beautiful and the edges of the pages are gold giving it the cutest fairy tale look. I have never been able to keep a diary, as nice as it is, I’d never have time to keep it up. But this book requires you to answer just one simple question each day, so it only takes a minute to complete. I’m sure in five years time I will look back at some of my answers and cringe but that is the beauty of it. I think this would make a really nice present for someone – or just for yourself…
LUSH’s Karma Soap
I’ve never really been a soapy kinda girl as I find it really drying. But Ben treated me to a slab of Karma a little while ago and I have rediscovered it recently. The scent is very citrus based and it is so summery and really refreshing, so perfect to wake you up in the morning. This is the ideal thing to take away with you if you need to get around the airport liquid rules. Why bring shower gel when you can bring other lotions and potions! The soap is incredibly long lasting. I have used my bar loads and barely made a dent in it.
Lee Stafford’s Ultra Hydration Lotion
My hair can get really dry in the summer months due to the heat and to be honest I’m in need of a hair cut, so my ends were starting to look pretty raggedy. To tide me over I’ve been using this argan oil infused Hydration Lotion to inject some moisture back into my hair. The product helps to tame flyaways and leaves your hair looking smoother and healthier.
New Look’s Pure Colour Baked Bronzer
I was lucky enough to receive this Baked Bronzer in a £25 makeup challenge with New Look and it has been a firm staple in my makeup bag since. Every day I face internal conflict of whether to go for this of the matte bronze in the Makeup Revolution palette. Most often this one wins because of the gorgeous baked texture. Just a little product makes such a difference to my overall makeup look, and I feel ready for summer.
Mary Kay Beauty Blotters
My skin is pretty oily at the best of times, but during the summer, it tends to get a little bit worse. To combat this, I’ve been using the Mary Kay Beauty Blotters to blot the oil away before reapplying powder to banish the shine. The papers are in really convenient packaging, perfect for popping in your purse or makeup bag. So far they’ve been working a treat. One paper is enough to soak up all the oil on my t-zone and helps my makeup last the day.
Obviously needed to have a lippy in here somewhere. My summer favourite this month has been Impassioned. This bright pink is the perfect shade for me and I always receive compliments when I wear it, which is lovely! As it is a MAC lipstick, the colour lasts all day, even with eating and drinking. Worth every penny!
